Pick Your Pumpkin! 🎃

Your pumpkin has arrived, your carving kit is ready… now comes the fun part!

We’ve put together a few of our favourite pumpkin carving designs for you to download, print and recreate at home. Whether you’re keeping it classic, going spooky or trying something a little more creative, follow our simple steps below for a pumpkin you’ll be proud to put on display!

STEP 1: Prep Your Pumpkin

Start by giving your pumpkin a quick wipe down and choosing which side you’d like to be the front.

Cut an opening around the stem at the top, angling your knife slightly inward so the lid won’t fall through. Scoop out the seeds and stringy bits, then scrape the inside wall where you’ll be carving until it’s roughly 1 inch thick. A thinner carving surface makes detailed designs much easier!

ASP Tip: Save those pumpkin seeds! Give them a rinse, add a little olive oil and seasoning, and roast them for an easy fall snack.

STEP 2: Pick Your Design

Browse our downloadable pumpkin designs below, choose your favourite and print it out.

Tape your template securely to the front of your pumpkin. Using a small poking tool or the tip of your carving tool, trace along the design to transfer the pattern onto the pumpkin.

Once you remove the paper, you’ll have an easy guide to follow!

STEP 3: Start Carving

Start with the smallest and most detailed sections first, then work your way toward the larger pieces.

Take your time and use small, controlled movements rather than trying to cut through long sections all at once. Gently push each carved piece through as you go.

STEP 4: Light It Up ✨

Once you’re finished, wipe away any pumpkin pieces and clean up the edges of your design.

Pop a battery-operated LED candle inside for an easy, safe glow, put the lid back on and find the perfect spot to show off your masterpiece.

Then wait for the sun to go down and see your design come to life!
